At LDA of Michigan, our purpose is to advance the general well-being for individuals with and the education and knowledge of learning disabilities.

At LDA of Michigan, our vision is that the causes of learning disabilities will be understood and addressed and the individuals with learning disabilities will thrive and participate fully in society.

Mission

At LDA of Michigan, our mission is to enhance the quality of life for all individuals with learning disabilities and their families through advocacy, education, training, service and support of research.

Advocacy & Service

  • Connecting parents and individuals with appropriate supports throughout Michigan for full participation in society
  • Representation/a voice for individuals with learning disabilities at the local, state and national levels

 

Education & Training

  • Educating teachers, particularly preservice teachers, parents, individuals and the general communities about issues related to supporting individuals with learning disabilities for full participation in school, work and general society
  • Supporting workforce training programs which enhance employability and quality of life for individuals with learning disabilities

 

Support of Research

  • Communication of pertinent and quality research related to advancing the well-being of individuals with learning disabilities
